What the Bible says Insights
from the bible on financial planning
The Bible is packed with verses about money, our possessions and our attitude to them. As a Christian it is good to research the scriptures to ascertain God’s perspective. Trinity can help you in this area through applying these truths to your financial planning.
Gods promise:
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3: 5-6
Ownership:
The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; Psalms 24:1
Attitude:
Whoever loves money never has enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income.
This too is meaningless. As goods increase, so do those who consume them. And what benefit are they to the owners except to feast their eyes on them? The sleep of a laborer is sweet, whether they eat little or much, but as for the rich, their abundance permits them no sleep. Ecclesiastes 5:10-12
Honesty:
Dishonest money dwindles away, but whoever gathers money little by little makes it grow. Proverbs 13:11
Responsibility:
The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender. Proverbs 22:7
