What the Bible says Insights
from the bible on financial planning
The bible says a lot
about money, our possessions, stewardship and tithes. As a christian it is good
to explore the bible to find out what God is saying. Here are just some of the
verses that we think you might find useful:- "Trust in the
Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways
acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight". Proverbs
3:5-6 "The earth is the Lord¹s, and
everything in it, the world, and all who live in it". Psalm
24:1 "Dishonest money dwindles away, but he who
gathers money little by little makes it grow". Proverbs
13:11 "In his heart a man plans his course,
but the Lord determines his steps". Proverbs
16:9 "The rich rule over the poor, and
the borrower is a servant to the lender". Proverbs
22:7 "Whoever loves money never has
money enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with his income. This too
is meaningless. As goods increase, so do those who consume them. And what benefit
are they to the owner except to feast his eyes on them? The sleep of the labourer
is sweet, whether he eats little or much, but the abundance of a rich man permits
him no sleep". Ecclesiastes 5:10-12 If
