Trinity Wealth Management newsletter
- Summer 2006 Another
six months have passed in the life of Trinity Wealth Management. In fact Trinity
is now five years old, and we continue to give thanks to God that the company
survives in an industry that struggles to shake off its tarnished image brought
about by a procession of misselling scandals.
When we started
in July 2001, The FTSE 100 opened at 5638.40 and by September 2003 had fallen
to 3671.10 Many of you have placed your trust in us through
these difficult times, and for some of you it has been even longer. We continue
to be grateful to each one of you for the responsibility you have given us in
these matters. During those years, we have seen legislation
which has changed the face of both retirement planning and estate planning, and
we have no doubts that both Governments and Markets will continue to surprise
us and generate the need for future advice. Office
Move: We have settled in well at Cedar Court.
Our doors are always open and it is always lovely to see you. Thank you to all
of those who came to our opening back in February. We were really thrilled to
see so many of you. We still have not managed to let
out the upstairs, so if you know of anyone who is looking for 700sq foot of office
to rent, please do give us a call. Staff / Vacancy:
We need a para-planner to support us, but we are not willing to compromise on
our standards, and it appears that quality is hard to come by these days. This
appears to be an industry wide problem as you will know if you ever have had the
misfortune to phone up a Financial Services company! Click
here to view this job vacancy . If you know just the right person please
pass this on to them. Trinity Ministries:
Our heart has always been to see lives changed, and one area we have always been
passionate about is giving. We are at a sufficient size whereby we can set up
our own charitable trust so we do not have to rely on external clearing houses.
We are in the process of having the trust deed drafted by our lawyers, and we
are set to be marketing the trust to clients to be used for their giving too.
Some of you already use Dove or Sovereign, and Trinity Ministries will work along
the same lines. We are very excited about this, and
feel it is the right thing to do. We have found an opportunity
to help charities income improve through advising their top donors. When your
financial planning is sorted, it is easier to distinguish what is available to
give away. This benefits both the giver and receiver. We are thrilled at the response
we have received from Charities. If you are involved in a charity, perhaps you
would be interested in learning more? Giving: We
have been able to support our dear friend Alan Heavy who is an evangelist who
travels on mission in Eastern Europe. Alan has just returned from a trip to Kosovo
witnessing in villages which saw Serbian 'Christians' committing atrocities on
their Muslim Kosovan counterparts. Alan funds all his missions himself, and we
are glad to support him. If this is an area you feel challenged in, do talk to
us. We were also involved in supporting the Christian response
to the Da Vinci Code movie. Free Scratch-cards were placed at cinemas throughout
the UK which helped respondents to separate the truth from fiction found in the
book and the film. Dominican Republic Trip: On
the 8th of September, I am returning to DR with Mission Direct to work on the
house building project for the Haitian refugees who live in unbelievable squalor.
This will involve trips to the rubbish tip where people live and work, rummaging
for food and things to sell, which had such a profound effect on me last year.
I am delighted to say that Andy Smart from MurraYoung, Chartered Accountants is
accompanying me this year. Some of you may know Andy. One or
two of you had expressed a desire to donate to the trip. Any contribution is taken
as cash and is spent on purchasing materials used to build the house.(A house
costs £1,500) 100% of your gift goes to make a
change to peoples lives! I would ask you to consider making a gift.
Please make your cheque payable to 'Mission Direct' and return to me. Upon receipt,
I will forward a Gift aid form to you if required. Thank you so much! In
fact, there's still time for you to join me on the trip
For
fear of repeating ourselves, we continue to give thanks for you, our valued clients.
We love serving each and every one of you, and we so value your patience and understanding
when things don't go smoothly. Particular thanks to any of you who have referred
us, we love referrals and we can't survive without them! We
look forward to serving you for the next five years and beyond! Jon
